Since the Party Poker failure last fall, Poker Stars has come forth as the indisputable leader in sheer quantities of internet based poker players. They have the largest tournaments, the most lively tables, the largest cash games, along with the fastest filling sit down and go tournaments on the internet. With that comes power – the power to select your partners, affiliates, and more to our point; appropriate software program.

Long have I been advocating Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate (they are actually the same) poker calculators as easy to use and visibly desirable poker calculators. Recently though, these items have pushed the boundaries of acceptable use, a minimum of within the view of Poker Stars, and hence have been banned from use on that website. This is sad news, as a good product, not unlike several of the suitable software program allowed by Stars, is now essentially grounded because the biggest poker site on the planet thinks it is too directly associated to an Operative Poker Calculator.

An Operative Poker Calculator is similar to a secret adviser operating for you, gathering and digging through player information that you can use on them at a later time. The thing is, you don’t need to be at the table for this to happen. The software (database) is working all of the time for you. For the majority of poker websites, that’s over the line of fairness, just as in real life also.

But Holdem Pirate and Hold em Hawk are truly Empirical Poker Calculators, just the same as Holdem Indicator is. These sorts of poker calculators only gather information on your competitors whenever you are at the table, just like you were wagering in a live situation.

So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here is an actual alert I got from Poker Stars although running Hold em Pirate:

Upon an evaluation of your account, we locate that you are using an external program identifiedas Poker Sherlock, or its associated software, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate……PokerStars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, including immediately preventing access to the Games to such User, closing such User’s account with PokerStars and confiscating all monies held within the relevant Poker Stars "real cash account".

Hey, did you observe the "confiscating all monies" line? That’s what you can do when you are this massive!

The "related applications" is the source of the trouble. The firm that created Hawk and Pirate also generate Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. In fact, I think that Stars thinks Hawk and Pirate actually gather data for these associated products, whilst appearing like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.

So therein lies the heart of the difficulty. Should you happen to wager on on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you might be out of luck, as I have tried to change this judgment. I got a polite reply from the staff members at Poker Stars, except really, it is not likely to alter. The very good news though is that Holdem Indicator has been added to Poker Stars suitable computer software checklist, and it is the only empirical calculator to be authorized by them.
