Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the house, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players do not have to worry about other, more experienced people winning their money.
Another Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game play, beginners should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make frenzied choices.
It is also much simpler to wager on for an extended time with only a small amount of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands must be lower than both of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the house gets 7 cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
