Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the casino, not like most other poker games that players play with other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more skillful players winning their moolla.
Another Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty decisions.
It is also much simpler to play for a long time with just a tiny bit of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
