No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five in which he loved betting on numerous card games at a young age. He found himself getting very aggressive in these particular card games while playing his father. After finishing Sr. High school, Howard decided to put college on hold for a little while and moved away to New York City to participate in some formidable chess. While playing chess, he was introduced to a poker game going on in the back of the room. Howard’s 1st 2 years were rough as he would play countless hours and lose most times. He earned some additional cash by being an assistant for the poker players. He believed he could better his game by balancing his life outside of poker. He made an attempt to acquire more rest and focus more on poker.
The real advancement in his skills began when he started gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the best players would regularly wager against one another. Howard had access into a number of the best players in chess. With their assistance, Howard would hone his cunning thinking skills. Howard applied these strategy ideas to the game of No-Limit Texas Holdem.
Howard Lederer also helped his sister Annie Duke master the game of poker. Annie Duke was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the correct choice. He told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and compete in the WSOP tournaments. She is one of the greatest women players the poker arena today. He moved to Sin City in 1993 and played cash games for the next 10 years. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, he made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
