Internet poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players acquire 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including a figure in accordance with the initial bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pays chips even with your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
