Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the house, not like most other poker games that gamblers wager with other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players do not need to be concerned about any other, more skillful individuals taking their mulla.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
