Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an awesome game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike most other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, starting players don’t have to fret about other, more knowledgeable people winning their cash.

One more Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game play, novices should be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make hasty selections.

It is also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with only a small bit of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
