Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the house, not like most other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By betting against the dealer, starting players do not have to be concerned about any other, more skillful players taking their $$$$.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the fairly slow game play, rookies will be able to take their time and plan while not having to make quick selections.
It’s also easier to bet on for a very long time with only a tiny bit of money after all, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the casino is dealt seven cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
