Annie Duke may not have captured her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but Annie remains one of the most feared poker players around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "young crowd" of poker run amok after a big success at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mum" to her four kids. She was born in NH and was raised into a family of card players. If you don’t believe that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught Annie the best method to compete in poker.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has captured her cut of challenging games, including eliminating Howard a few times on several occasions.

Earning well over three million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet and actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to build up his techniques to become a big player at the poker table.

You might catch her at the Bellagio, you will catch her on TV and you might even compete with her in an internet poker game, but do not count on an easy win. Unless you are a up and coming master, you will not defeat her. although, it is likely to be cool to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
