Fix Attention on Annie Duke

Mrs. Duke may not have captured her first WSOP Bracelet until ‘04 but she is one of the most powerful poker competitors at the cash games at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie’s long-overdue World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha hi low.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker run crazy after a big win at the tables, Annie goes home and becomes "mom" to her four children. Annie was born in New Hampshire and raised into a family of poker players. If you don’t accept that, observe her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who coached her how to bet on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small change girl and has captured her share of challenging tables, which includes eliminating Howard along the way on several occasions. They are both players that have the skill to capture the huge bucks and do so with a grin.

Annie Duke is a strong player at any table due to the fact that she is a natural poker player, but it’s a little more than just being good at the game. Annie Duke is extremely smart and graduated from Columbia University where she took a double major in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from Annie at the poker table you’ll see Annie is there to compete in the game and she starts "summing" you up from the time you join the game table. If you can not compete like a Champion, then do not waste your time.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie Duke branched out to become a adviser to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wished to sharpen his talents and become a force at the poker table.

You may glimpse her at the Bellagio, you will see Annie on the tv and you may even play against her in a web poker game, but don’t expect a simple win. Except of course you’re a champion-in-the-making, you will not defeat her. However, it would be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
